The Baiia Fit

We believe the best way to find your perfect fit is to measure your bust, waist and hips and use the chart below to find the size your dimensions best line up with.

Fits may differ due to body torso length and height. Please get in touch with fitexpert@baiia.com.au for questions relating to fit & size.

Please note that due to the thickness of our fabrics and our suit's shape controlling properties, they should feel quite snug or tight initially - especially when first putting on. The nature of these fabrics are to soften to your shape after a few wears, making them much more comfortable once worn in, particularly around the hip area. Swimwear fabric naturally also becomes more generous in stretch when in contact with water.

Our sizes are true to standard Australian sizing, however they are a firmer fit initially to allow for any softening of the fabric. If you have two or more measurements within one size, we generally recommend that one for the perfect fit. 

 

Our Materials

 

Our polyester blend suits offer a more structured feel with minimal stretch, making them an excellent choice for added support and shaping. Suits made from our nylon blend offer a slightly more flexible fit. They still provide a sculpted, supportive feel but with added stretch for enhanced comfort—without compromising on shape. Ultimately, both fabrics offer great benefits depending on your own personal preference. 

Our darker reverse styles (Martinique, Tulum, Valencia and Riad) are made with a blended Nylon fabric crafted from ocean waste allowing for a more relaxed fit. If you are after sculpting and shape-wear like qualities in this product we do recommend sizing down in these styles.

 Binding or No Binding?

Binding is a seam detail on our swimwear that offers added hold and security along the edges of your suit. Styles with binded seams are ideal for those who prefer a more traditional, structured look over a seamless finish. We particularly recommend these styles for customers with a wider waist-to-hip ratio, as the binding provides a firmer, more secure fit around the rear.

Binding is currently featured on our Coco, Mirage, and Capri suits, offering a secure and comfortable fit.
