Fabric

This bikini top is made with a recycled, blended Nylon fabric crafted from ocean waste. This nylon blend has a more relaxed fit than our classic recycled polyester bikini tops. If you are after sculpting and shape-wear like qualities in this product we do recommend sizing down.
Our signature Italian swimwear fabrics are made using regenerated nylon thread from pre and post-consumer waste.This luxuriously soft, yet firm fabric offers bust support for A to H cup. As this piece features shape-controlling properties and high technical performance, please expect it to feel firmer than regular swimwear.

Not exactly! While our suits are true to Australian standard sizing, it’s common for women to size down in Baiia suits. The reason for this is because we most commonly recommend sizes based on measurements rather than dress sizes, so many women find their best fit in a different size to what they typically wear in clothing. 

If two or more of your measurements fit within one size, we tend to recommend that one for the perfect fit. If your measurements span three or more sizes, we tend to recommend taking the one in the middle. If you feel you have a particularly short or long torso, you may find a better fit in one size down or up. We suggest emailing us at fitexpert@baiia.com.au prior to purchase if you have any questions or concerns about your correct size.

Our fabrics are resistant to suncream and oils, but we still recommend taking care when wearing sunscreen and/or makeup, as well as taking care to remove marks as soon as possible to prevent staining.

A common ingredient in sunscreen known as avobenzone can contribute to stains, so you may wish to use sunscreens without this component.

The major difference between the two styles is how many pieces they're composed of.

​The 3-piece Wrapsuit consists of 1 chest piece, 1 body piece and 1 detachable tie; all together they complete a full swimsuit, which you can then reverse, and mix & match with other Wrapsuits to create multiple unique looks. ​

​The 4-piece Bikini consists of the Bikini top made of 2 chest pieces and 1 detachable tie, and the ultra-high waisted Bikini Bottom  - equalling 4 pieces when purchased all together! The Bikini can be worn like a classic Bikini style or made to look like a Wrapsuit, as well as mix & matched with other Bikinis.

"As a HH bust this is the first bikini top I've ever felt comfortable in! If the straps were shorter it would be 100% perfect but obviously ever body is different dimensions and what's perfect for one person is not perfect for another. To combat this I just use one of the ties to tie up the straps at the back of my neck, giving a halter-neck look and maximum support."

The fabric and quality are

"The fabric and quality are excellent, however the garment does not fit my body shape. Also beware that the fabric sits extremely tightly on the body. I personally find this oppressive and restricting. With the wrap top, it fits tight around my ribs, while gaping more than I'd like at the chest. Baiia will not accept returns for a refund so choose carefully. As I was unable to try on the garment prior to purchasing, I took a leap for faith with this purchase. However, it has been a waste of a considerable amount of money for me."

Love these! Worth the price and great to support an Australian brand

"Lervvvv these! Such a great design, super comfortable and love the reversible wearing options. Yes they are expensive but I figured I was getting four or five different styles for the price. I originally ordered the wrong size in another pair, however, that mistake along with the many videos posted by Baiia managed to get me the right size. This cut of these pieces works perfectly for my body shape and I love that there is the option to mix and match top and bottom sizing. Baiia customer service is super fantastic - quick responses, willing to assist with exchanges where the mistake was clearly mine and just generally, helpful and pleasant to deal with. Waiting on the exchange of the original pair I purchased (Cosmopolitan) in the wrong size and cannot wait to receive them. So, yes, love these so much that I ordered two pairs!"

Flattering!

"I love wearing just one shoulder look to get sun on each side. I have D cups in the size 6 so it just barely works with my boobs. If boobs are too big for the strapless look although I can make the around the neck version almost work. I haven't been bored with the options I do have, just pointing out that A to C cups could easily do all of the looks! I love the green print! I'm currently backpacking in the tropics with a very small backpack and I'm using it a lot! It is a snug fit so when I'm done at the beach I normally want to take it off right away, but that's what makes it so flattering! Overall intelligent design! Worth the money."

The Monroe Reversible Bikini (and

"The Monroe Reversible Bikini (and bottoms) are my third pair of Baiia swimwear (I have the one-piece wrap top, and x2 wrap tops all in different colours + matching bottoms for all three sets). Firstly, the customer service is great - my first pair arrived with damaged seams where the tag sits, but I also needed to go up a size, and they were very happy to exchange. I live in Vic but had a trip up to QLD so I was able to bring my swimsuit in person to exchange (but also try on a different size to ensure it fit). I thought I'd love the one-piece wrap top more, but I actually love these wrap tops that come in two pieces (the one in this review) and wear them a lot more regularly. I'd read reviews saying the two-piece can get tricky to put over your head (I know some people might be more or less flexible in their shoulders) but luckily, I don't have issues with this. I thought the one-piece might be easier however, I find it tricky to get the tightness of the two-piece right. I either tie them too tight, or not tight enough which stands out when diving in cold water, but I think this is just me needing to practice getting it right. No issues when hanging out on the beach or wearing it as a top. The fabric is amazing - it somehow keeps everything secure and smooth, while also being incredibly flattering (without cups!). I often wear my bikini tops (all three) as singlets - both on holidays at the beach, and at home in the city. It's been a great way for me to reduce the amount I pack for trips, and the reversible helps me change it up without having to bring extra sets. The lack of cups also means they dry more quickly which is really convenient for travel. The supportive fabric has also meant I've been able to do short walks to swimming holes without feeling uncomfortable, and without having to change (note I'm a 10C so may not work for everyone). I also have a bit of a tummy, but the swimsuit makes me feel really confident and fashionable. The fabric is smooth and holds in all the right places while still celebrating my shape (instead of hiding my body). I also love the colour and pattern of the Monroe specifically - I'd been waiting for a restock as it was often sold out and luckily managed to grab a set! It's very elegant, flattering shade. I'd highly recommend Baiia swimwear. I'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing for about 1+ year before committing and glad I did. I think sizing is super important with these given how firm they feel when I first put them on, and I would have booked a sizing appointment online if I wasn't able to go into their physical office. I'm around 5ft, 65kg and average a size ten (fluctuating depending on the week)."
