Fabric

Our signature Italian swimwear fabrics are made using regenerated polyester thread from pre and post-consumer waste.This luxuriously soft, yet firm fabric offers bust support for A to H cup. As this piece features shape-controlling properties and high technical performance, please expect it to feel firmer than regular swimwear.

Just like our classic suits, it’s important that your top fits firmly at first, as the fabric will naturally soften with wear. For the best support, we recommend sizing down from your usual Baiia bikini top size to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.

  • To avoid fabric from drying out, ensure any sand is removed from the garment.

Not exactly! While our suits are true to Australian standard sizing, it’s common for women to size down in Baiia suits. The reason for this is because we most commonly recommend sizes based on measurements rather than dress sizes, so many women find their best fit in a different size to what they typically wear in clothing. 

If two or more of your measurements fit within one size, we tend to recommend that one for the perfect fit. If your measurements span three or more sizes, we tend to recommend taking the one in the middle. If you feel you have a particularly short or long torso, you may find a better fit in one size down or up. We suggest emailing us at fitexpert@baiia.com.au prior to purchase if you have any questions or concerns about your correct size.

Our fabrics are resistant to suncream and oils, but we still recommend taking care when wearing sunscreen and/or makeup, as well as taking care to remove marks as soon as possible to prevent staining.

A common ingredient in sunscreen known as avobenzone can contribute to stains, so you may wish to use sunscreens without this component.

SUSTAINABILITY & CARE

The major difference between the two styles is how many pieces they're composed of.

​The 3-piece Wrapsuit consists of 1 chest piece, 1 body piece and 1 detachable tie; all together they complete a full swimsuit, which you can then reverse, and mix & match with other Wrapsuits to create multiple unique looks. ​

​The 4-piece Bikini consists of the Bikini top made of 2 chest pieces and 1 detachable tie, and the ultra-high waisted Bikini Bottom  - equalling 4 pieces when purchased all together! The Bikini can be worn like a classic Bikini style or made to look like a Wrapsuit, as well as mix & matched with other Bikinis.

I wish you could hear my excitement and love of these suits! I will admit I was hesitate due to cost but now I know how much they are worth it and need more!!! (Have 2 now!).

Don’t be me. Don’t wait. Also don’t go by US sizing for sure go by measurements! It will save you time returning! I didn’t trust that I was a smaller size!

Love love love

I’m four months post partum and feeling quite self conscious about my body. We’re going away on holidays next week and

the swimsuits I already own just don’t look flattering anymore and made me feel a bit down. I went browsing and saw Baiia pop up a few times so I thought okay, this must be a sign. I wasn’t sure what size to get so I contacted the fit consultant who was really lovely and helpful. I bought this with the matching bottoms and I feel great! So versatile

The quality and colours of this top is fabulous. I love the versatility of the design and being able to style it so many ways. This is really beautiful high quality swimwear that makes you feel great.

I took one star away as I would love to have a belt keeper at the back so that the top stays in place and the long wrap belts don’t creep down under your ribs.

It would also be great to have better bust support or cups - but understand that this would take some very clever engineering to incorporate into a reversible style.

new style

I love this top, this is the third swim suit i have purchased from Baiia, and by far the best design for ease of use getting on and off. the Fit is great and the little clips are perfect for changing up the style. I am heading overseas in 3 weeks and cant wait to break out the swim suit.
