Fabric

This bikini bottom is made with a recycled, blended Nylon fabric crafted from ocean waste. This nylon blend has a more relaxed fit than our classic recycled polyester bikini tops. If you are after sculpting and shape-wear like qualities in this product we do recommend sizing down.

The longevity of your Swimwear will ultimately come down to how it is cared for. To ensure your Baiia remains in perfect condition, please keep the following in mind:

  • Hand-wash only in cold water
  • Do not soak, bleach, rub or wring
  • Do not iron or tumble dry
  • Lay flat to dry only
  • Dry in the shade
  • To avoid fabric from drying out, ensure any sand is removed from the garment.

Not exactly! While our suits are true to Australian standard sizing, it’s common for women to size down in Baiia suits. The reason for this is because we most commonly recommend sizes based on measurements rather than dress sizes, so many women find their best fit in a different size to what they typically wear in clothing. 

If two or more of your measurements fit within one size, we tend to recommend that one for the perfect fit. If your measurements span three or more sizes, we tend to recommend taking the one in the middle. If you feel you have a particularly short or long torso, you may find a better fit in one size down or up. We suggest emailing us at fitexpert@baiia.com.au prior to purchase if you have any questions or concerns about your correct size.

Our fabrics are resistant to suncream and oils, but we still recommend taking care when wearing sunscreen and/or makeup, as well as taking care to remove marks as soon as possible to prevent staining.

A common ingredient in sunscreen known as avobenzone can contribute to stains, so you may wish to use sunscreens without this component.

The major difference between the two styles is how many pieces they're composed of.

​The 3-piece Wrapsuit consists of 1 chest piece, 1 body piece and 1 detachable tie; all together they complete a full swimsuit, which you can then reverse, and mix & match with other Wrapsuits to create multiple unique looks. ​

​The 4-piece Bikini consists of the Bikini top made of 2 chest pieces and 1 detachable tie, and the ultra-high waisted Bikini Bottom  - equalling 4 pieces when purchased all together! The Bikini can be worn like a classic Bikini style or made to look like a Wrapsuit, as well as mix & matched with other Bikinis.

"These bottoms are so fantastic. I LOVE how they really suck everything in without creating bulges and bulk at the edges. They are truly so flattering. The first few times I have worn them, they have been VERY tight to get on, however, after a few wears and swims in them, they are fitting me like a glove! "It's good I think. Months later, I still haven't gotten my full order so it's really hard to review. For a lot of money - I don't think you should wait 4 months for an order but I guess that's where we are. Please ship my dress order in April if you get a chance. Thanks - it's August now, maybe I'll wear it next summer? Also not great for petite's no matter what they say."

"The swimsuit was beautiful and the material is very high quality. I loved the colour and the versatility. Unfortunately my usual size ran too small (couldn’t get the pants over my thigh to try on) and the top’s arm holes were so small they dug into shoulders. I’ve returned it for the next size up but the return is taking a long time to process. I would recommend sizing up to save yourself the trouble of returning and the lengthy wait confirming the swap."

"The suit was extremely restrictive. It also cut in at the legs so any body sculpting was irrelevant. The fabric was high quality and beautiful, but just didn’t look great on me. I sent it back and plan to change sizing and try again with a different print. Additionally the return policy is quite unfortunate. Such an expensive product to be completely non-refundable ."

"I wanted to love this- the pattern is lovely, and my favourite colour. I upsized just in case because it's swimwear- nope. Wouldn't even fit over my thighs. My usual size is a 12 (AU) and these made me feel I was at least an 18+. I feel like the sizing is more aligned to China than to Aus."

Fits true to size for

"Fits true to size for me, nice and snug. Still think its overpriced for what you get. No refunds which is easier for the company but difficult for the customer to manage. Wearing the wrap top backwards doesnt actually look right, the cut around the arms doesnt translate quite right at the front."
